Custom software for law firms.

Client intake, matter management, document automation, and billing tools built for the way small and mid-size firms actually work — not a generic practice-management suite that assumes you’re BigLaw.

What we build for law firms.

01

Client intake automation

Branded intake forms that capture the fact pattern, run conflict checks against your database, auto-generate engagement letters, and flag matters that shouldn’t be taken before they reach a partner’s desk.

02

Matter management

One place for every matter: documents, deadlines, notes, tasks, billing, and the complete email trail. Role-based access so paralegals see what they need and nothing more.

03

Document automation

Assemble complaints, motions, contracts, discovery, and closing packages from templates and matter data. Tracked changes, versioning, and e-sign built in — not an afterthought.

04

Time tracking and billing

Time capture that feels like typing a thought instead of filling a spreadsheet. LEDES-compliant invoicing for firms with insurance-defense or corporate clients. Optional trust-accounting hooks.

05

Client portals

Secure self-serve portals where clients see case status, bills, and shared documents — without calling reception. Reduces status-update emails dramatically for firms with volume practices.

06

Trust-accounting integrations

IOLTA-compliant integrations with Clio, LawPay, QuickBooks, or your existing trust ledger — and with the Finlock API when you need production-grade accounting under the hood.

Where SaaS stops fitting.

Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, and Smokeball cover a lot of ground for a generalist small firm. The moment the firm specializes — personal injury, immigration, estate planning, insurance defense, class actions — the “one size fits all” tool starts to show gaps. Custom fields run out. Reports don’t roll up the way partners want. The portal looks generic to clients. The intake form doesn’t branch on fact pattern.

Most of our law-firm engagements sit next to an existing practice-management tool rather than replacing it. A branded intake flow that feeds Clio. A matter-specific workflow engine for immigration timelines. A partner dashboard that pulls from the practice-management system but rolls up the way the partners actually manage the firm.

For ethical-wall / conflict-check sensitivity and trust-accounting compliance, every build gets an access-control review and an audit-log layer. These aren’t add-ons; they’re part of every engagement.

Typical engagement.

Timeline: 2–4 weeks for a focused tool (e.g. a branded intake flow, a practice-specific workflow engine, a partner dashboard). 2–6 months for a full matter-management build with documents, billing, and client portal.

Budget range: $5,000–$15,000 for focused tools. $20,000–$60,000 for full builds, with the upper end covering practices with unusual workflows (immigration, class actions, insurance defense). See the cost calculator for an estimate.

Integrations we touch most: Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, Smokeball, QuickBooks, LawPay, DocuSign, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, NetDocuments, iManage, Finlock.

Compliance posture: ABA Model Rule 1.6 awareness on confidentiality, jurisdiction-specific trust-accounting rules, HIPAA where the practice handles medical records, and state-bar record-retention requirements baked in from day one.

Practice-management software, shaped to your practice.

If Clio mostly works and a few gaps drive you crazy, we’ll build the gap-fillers. If the whole tool is a bad fit, we’ll build the replacement. Either way, the discovery call is free and we’ll tell you which path makes sense.
